Meet the Team

Gerry is a Board Member and the Chief Executive Officer of Fexco Aviation Services since January 2019. Graduating from University of Limerick, he has over 30 years’ experience in aviation, beginning with GPA which he joined from BDO in 1991. Following two years with GECAS Gerry returned to GPA and in 1996 he worked on the creation of Airplanes Group, an ABS (Asset Backed Securitization) comprising 229 aircraft and over $4 billion in Debt and Equity, which was used to raise funds to enable GPA to repay its third-party debt.

Gerry subsequently worked at GPA successor companies including AerFi Group and debis AirFinance and in 2007, he headed up the Finance and Third-Party Securitization Operations for AerCap in Ireland. Prior to joining FAVS as CEO in 2019, Gerry was Managing Director of PAFS Ireland Ltd. for 12 years, setting up its Irish operation in 2007.

A lifelong employee of Fexco, Denis served as CEO of the group from 2015 to 2021 and was appointed as Chairperson in January 2022. He has been a member of the Fexco Aviation Services Board since inception and is a key supporter of Fexco’s ongoing investment in the aviation industry.

Denis has a degree in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin and is a key driver of technology-based innovation, founding Annadale Technologies, a web-based transaction processing software business and Aviso, a payments software company.

Martin is a member of the Fexco Group Executive team, responsible for the group’s Offshore Renewable Energy, Managed Services and Advisory Services businesses. A Computer Science graduate of University College Cork, he is a Certified Service Management and Project Management Professional. In addition to his role in Fexco’s aviation business, Martin has extensive consultancy and service delivery knowledge gained both in Ireland and internationally across multiple industries including Financial Services, Energy, Public Sector and Sustainability.

Michael is an independent Non-Executive Director at Fexco Aviation Services, bringing a wealth of financial services experience to the team. Starting his career in the Central Bank of Ireland, he became Managing Director of the Irish Futures and Options Exchange before joining Deutsche Bank, where he was Chief Country Officer for Ireland. In DB Michael led a team which established and operated two financial services businesses working under Irish Accounting and Taxation requirements, as well as holding responsibility for delivering centralised services for DB internationally. As iNED Michael shares his experience of working as a board member and chairman of several Investment Funds and SPVs. He holds a Commerce Degree from University College Dublin and is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

John brings over 12 years of experience in the aviation industry to his role at Fexco Aviation Services. He has held senior finance positions at Elix Aviation Capital, Canyon CTS, Goshawk, and Zephyrus Aviation Capital. His expertise spans managing complex ABS transactions, overseeing statutory and investor reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, John holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Laws(LLB), and a Higher Diploma in Business Studies from the University of Galway. He began his career with MKO Partners, where he completed his training contract and gained valuable experience across a range of industries.

Catherine joined Fexco Aviation Services in September 2022, and is responsible for a variety of Warehouse and ABS clients. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Catherine completed a Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics from University of Limerick and went on to complete her training with EY in Dublin in the Wealth and Asset Management Department. An experienced Fund Accountant, Catherine worked in Davidson Kempner before joining the team in Fexco.

Rebecca joined Fexco Aviation Services in May 2021 and as a Dedicated Client Manager works on a large leasing company client in addition to supporting the team on a number of warehouse structures. Rebecca plays a lead role in onboarding new clients in our New Business Set-up services, acting as primary contact in establishing aviation leasing vehicles in Ireland.

Rebecca is a qualified Chartered Accountant, having achieved her Bachelor of Business Studies degree (majoring in Accounting and Finance) at University of Limerick, before completing her training contract with Deloitte Ireland LLP where she worked in the audit department gaining experience across several industries.

Karl joined the Fexco Aviation Services team in January 2020 having begun his career in aviation at Aer Rianta International in 2004, where he was involved in procurement and logistics for International Duty-Free Stores. He worked as senior accountant for several years at daa (Dublin Airport Authority) in the outsourced Shared Services Centre in Limerick. A Chartered Certified Accountant, Karl brings a wealth of experience in Cash Management, and currently manages a number of Aircraft and Engine Lessors.

Sinead is Compliance Officer at Fexco Aviation Services with responsibility for overseeing Policies and Procedures. Reporting to the Board of Directors, Sinead is a Senior Financial Accountant and fellow member of Chartered Accountants Ireland, and she manages Fexco clients including a large independent Lessor. Upon successful completion of her Bachelor of Business Studies (major in economics and minor in accounting and finance) from University of Limerick, Sinead completed her training and began her career with Tiernan Sheahan Accountants in Limerick, gaining over 12 years post qualification experience in practice. During this time, she managed a portfolio of clients across a broad range of industries.
